For more than 60 years, The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston has been Houston's center of education, referral and service for individuals and families determined to defeat alcoholism and addiction. Currently, The Council is reaching more than 250,000 people in the Greater Houston community.

Resolved to increase The Council’s capacity to serve, to address the challenges of our facility limitations, and to ensure that The Council will remain an essential behavioral health organization for the next 60 years, trustees of The Council and The Foundation for The Council have undertaken a $14,000,000 building expansion campaign--Restoring Hope, Rebuilding Lives: Toward the Next 60 Years. The Campaign will increase the Council’s capacity to serve, address the challenges of our facility limitations and ensure that The Council remains an essential behavioral health organization for the next 60 years.
