The Prevention Resource Center Region 6 (PRC 6) at The Council is a public clearinghouse of free information about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Harris County and surrounding counties (Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Walker, Waller and Wharton Counties) are part of Region 6, one of eleven regional PRCs in the state of Texas.
Everyone is welcome to use the PRC 6, located adjacent to The Council’s Welcome Center. Its comprehensive library provides free pamphlets, posters and videos, as well as on-line services for information on alcohol, drugs, prevention and statistics.
