The Sober Recreation Committee (SRC) is a group of volunteers devoted to providing fun events for people who are recovering from addiction and who are involved in 12-step programs. SRC events (such as “Addicted to Comedy,” ”Heat Stroke Golf,” and SpringBowling) draw hundreds of people, many without the funds to otherwise participate in these types of activities.

SRC is offered in service to the recovery community to provide activities, recreation and fellowship without the need for alcohol and drugs. Planning meetings are held at 6:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month at The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston. They offer a great way to get involved with Houston’s recovery community.
