Thank you for your interest in volunteering—a very important role at The Council. We have opportunities to fit your time availability and talents. Although volunteers cannot directly interact with counseling clients due to confidentiality requirements, we do need volunteers to help with other types of projects, for example:
Prepare and package material for workshops;
Help with our spring and fall luncheons;
Label material for community health fairs and presentations;
Wrap gifts for our annual holiday party for Women & Children’s Services;
Help us maintain and keep our campus beautiful.
To become a volunteer at The Council, download and complete our NEW VOLUNTEER APPLICATION. Once completed, please send the application to our Volunteer Coordinator via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or fax (713-400-6369) or mail (P.O. Box 2768, Houston, TX 77252).
You will then be contacted to arrange a brief orientation session, after which you can begin your volunteer service. We appreciate your interest in volunteering!
Please note: Due to the nature of the services we provide, all volunteers are asked to submit to a background check and/or drug screening and sign a statement of confidentiality.
The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston is a drug-free/smoke-free workplace. No smoking is permitted anywhere on our campus, including the garage and all other property associated with The Council.
